Commemorative medals and coins were issued to mark the 315th anniversary of the MEISSEN manufactory.
Medals and coins are a unique branch of art and an important part of the product range of the famous German Meissen manufactory, which began with experiments with Böttger porcelain in the 18th century and reached its peak in the 20th century thanks to the sculptor Emil Paul Berner. Meissen porcelain medals, coins, and other small sculptures (such as plaques) are rare collectibles spanning various periods of German history, including commemorative pieces from the 1930s and 1940s.
